Gaynor Ralls qualified as a consultant in Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT), at the end of 2012, and is qualified as an instructor in all of the seven available RMTi courses. She has worked with people with: Autism, Aspergers, Anxiety, ADD, ADHD, Adoption, Depression, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Speech Delays, Global Developmental Delay, Spinal Bifida/Hydrocephalus, Sensory Processing Disorders, and Parkinson’s.

Gaynor comes from a teaching background – so understands your struggle. It was her son who launched her on this pathway. It took her 7 years to find primitive reflexes – and the rest is history! She now helps families and their children and trains other in RMTi and primitive reflexes.

In this session, Gaynor explains what primitive reflexes are, why they matter for child development, and what happens when they remain unintegrated. Whether you’re seeing children who struggle to sit still, can’t seem to focus, are reluctant readers, or are behind their peers developmentally.

In this episode you’ll:

  • Discover what primitive reflexes are, why they must integrate by around age three, and what happens in the nervous system when they don’t
  • Learn how retained reflexes can drive behaviours like anxiety, inability to sit still, poor focus, and even difficulties with reading and writing
  • Explore why it’s never too late to support reflex integration, and how the brain retains plasticity throughout life
  • Understand how early years practitioners can spot the signs of retained primitive reflexes in the children they work with
  • Find out how movement and play, without expensive equipment, can support the nervous system in ways that directly affect learning and wellbeing

Watch this session to understand the neurological foundations behind some of the most common challenges you see in young children, and discover what you can practically do to help.
