Sarah Seaman is a leading voice in outdoor education, with over a decade of teaching experience across a wide range of roles, and creative credits that include work with CBeebies and CITV.
Her journey into outdoor learning began as a Level 3 Forest School Leader, but it was her passion for making nature-based learning more accessible and affordable that led her to develop the Muddy Puddle Teacher® Approach. Designed for everyday classrooms as well as outdoor spaces, the approach empowers teachers to deliver the curriculum outdoors using simple, natural, and cost-free resources.
Sarah is the author of two acclaimed books with Bloomsbury Education:
The Muddy Puddle Teacher: Handbook for Early Years (2021)
The Muddy Puddle KS1 Teacher (2025)
Through her training, resources, and media work, Sarah continues to inspire educators and parents to transform learning by stepping outside—proving that outdoor education doesn’t require big budgets, specialist equipment, or formal Forest School qualifications to have a powerful impact.
