Laura Fish is a former preschool teacher turned marriage and family therapist from San Diego, CA, who began her work in early education over thirty years ago as a preschool teacher.
After earning her master’s degree in counselling, she worked as a mental health consultant for public, private pay, and Head Start infant, toddler, and preschool programs. Laura partnered with child welfare and special education departments to provide behaviour support services for children with identified risk factors or special needs to be fully included. For over a decade, Laura has offered both classroom-based and home-based mental health consultation services to children and their families.
She has parlayed these 30 years of experience as an educator and therapist into creating innovative, cutting-edge trainings for educators and care providers to help them teach based on science – not habit – so they work smarter not harder.
