Ursula Krystek-Walton has been in the Early Years industry for over 20 years.

She is the Head of Early Years at Bertram nursery group where she’s been for the last five years, she has a first class BA Honours in Childhood studies and is a neuroscience champion.

In this interview, Ursula explains why neuroscience knowledge is vital for good Early Years practice and how it has transformed practice, policy and procedures at the Bertram Group in England and Scotland. She also explains how an increase in children’s mental health issues means that understanding brain development in babies and young children is now so important, with a great video showing this in action with the children.
