Neil Leitch OBE on Influencing Policymakers

Neil discusses how he influences Early Years policymakers - and what you can do to influence key people in your area.
· June 1, 2018

Neil Leitch OBE is the Chief Executive of the Early Years Alliance (formerly Pre-School Learning Alliance) – the largest and most representative Early Years membership organisation in England – based in London and supported by a network of Service Hubs across the country.

Neil is frequently on national TV and in the newspapers, giving a strong, clear voice to the Early Years sector on the issues that are having a huge, and often negative effect, on practitioners and educators working in the Early Years – such as 30 hours funding. He also works tirelessly behind the scenes at Government level, with policymakers and influencers, representing the views and concerns of the 14,000 Alliance members.

Neil was awarded his OBE for his services to Education in the New Years Honours List 2022.
