Michael Rosen needs little introduction, but you may know him as the author of stories such as We’re Going on a Bear Hunt or the poet behind Quick, Let’s Get Out of Here. He was the Children’s Laureate from 2007 – 2009 and is currently a Professor of Children’s Literature at Goldsmiths University, London.
In this interview, we discuss ‘Michael Rosen’s Book of Play’; the different types of play; some ideas for wordplay and other activities to do with children; freedom for children to play; gender-neutral toys or games; the benefits for adults to become more playful learners.
