Marina Robb has more than 30 years of experience in outdoor learning and nature connection and is the founder and Managing Director of Circle of Life Rediscovery Community Interest Company and The Outdoor Teacher Ltd, both leading organisations that aim to transform education and health through nature.
Marina’s book, ‘Learning with Nature’, foreworded by Chris Packham, is considered a must-have book for Forest School & Outdoor practitioners. Her second book, ‘The Essential Guide to Forest School and Nature Pedagogy’, published this year, contains everything you need to know from theory to practice.
In this interview, Marina explains how she became ‘The Outdoor Teacher’ and her nature pedagogy. We go on to discuss the many health and educational benefits of being outdoors and the importance of the relationship with nature as a ‘third relationship’. Marina also has lots of great ideas to make the most of the outdoors, whether you are just discovering the benefits or if you’re already experienced in making the most of the outdoors.
