Jane Wilson on Gentle Speech Therapy

In this interview, Jane explains how ‘Gentle Speech Therapy’ can be used every day in settings and at home to support children’s speech sound development. It is based on an amalgamation of many different, auditory based therapies, but can be easily incorporated into everyday activities, stories and interactions.

Jane demonstrates this technique with an example using readily available resources.

Jane Wilson is the founder of Little Orchard Children and is an independent Speech and Language Therapist and consultant on a mission to support parents, carers and Early Years professionals with all things Speech and Language.

Since launching Little Orchard Children a year ago, Jane has moved her therapy services online, provided multiple free speech sound challenges, delivered 7 online workshops, supported over 2000 early years practitioners and created the UK’s first environmentally conscious Speech Therapy resources.
