Bev Bacon on the HR responsibilities of Early Years Managers

In this session, Bev explains how leadership is a skill that can be learned, a toolbox to be filled up, and has advice for new managers on how to handle this role, which they may have never been trained for.

We discuss how knowing, understanding and implementing the vision of the company that you are working for makes management decisions clearer, especially if there is conflict. Bev describes how managers can be more inclusive by really getting to know the staff, just as we would do with the children. She also has some great advice for settings who may be having challenges with the current recruitment crisis.

Bev finishes the session with some great top tips and strategies for all leaders and managers.
